Waste cleanup activity in natural places is fun and satisfying, whether if its done with a group or alone. Trees, shrubs, river creek, mountain and birds sounds makes the cleanup more enjoyable. But sometimes plethora of unchecked wastes in natural places give sadness and demotivation. At those times, one more factor comes into the picture gives much needed motivation and energy to perform the cleanup activity. That is the enthusiasm of the volunteers toward the waste cleanup activity. For every cleanup activities conducted by Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful organization (https://www.keepcoyotecreekbeautiful.org/), we have scores of volunteers come up for every cleanup events, irrespective of rain or shine.         A certain group of volunteers perform team leader role working closely with cleaning up volunteers, guiding them during the entire duration of the activity and ensuring their safety and enthusiasm are intact.  They are Alie Victorine, Bruce Victorine, Karan Gathani, Efre

Tree planting volunteering with Our City Forest -San Jose

Our City Forest is a Non Governmental Organization based in San Jose, specialized in nursery, tree planting and tree care. They got a wonderful team of tree and plant lovers. They sell plants and trees at affordable rate, and they also offer some trees and plants for free. They conduct Tree Amigo program three times a year , which trains volunteers on tree planting, tree care, tree transplantation and converting water intense lawn into a beautiful garden. This is a 5 week program that is very enjoyable and learning experience for volunteers. At the end of Tree Amigo program, they provide a program completion certificate and a nice T-shirt. They utilize the help of Tree Amigos and new volunteers in their mission of greenifying the city.  I used to think tree planting is very simple. We got to just dig the pit, and plant a sapling. After completing the Tree Amigo program, I realized utmost care is needed while planting the trees and also while taking care of it when it is growing up. We

I am a mobile communication engineer with an avid interest in spending time in nature, and working for its conservation. Though I grew up in a place closer to the mountains, waterfalls, and agriculture fields, I don't recall if I was a nature lover while growing up. Nature used to be thriving during my childhood.  Motivation for waste cleanup Earth is the only home for all living species, and it is blessed with nature. Nature provides us with abundant water, food, air and a comfortable living place. We often take it for granted. Due to our unchecked consumption, climate change effects have started showing up, oceans and landfills are overburdened with our wastes, and wildlife and ecosystems are disrupted. Its our collective responsibility to protect nature so that every-species and our future human generation can enjoy what we enjoy now. These thoughts provided me with much needed motivation to work for nature's cause.  Tree planting and waste cleanup are the kind of volunteer

Waste cleanup activity- one of my favorite outdoor activities. So today which Feb,20 2021, I participated in 6th waste cleanup activity,5th with Keep coyote creek beautiful organization. I am glad to find this organization. They have motivated team which conducts cleanup twice a month, engages people across all ages especially school kids in cleanup activity. I can see nothing but immense energy and enthusiasm among volunteers while doing cleanup activity. I am happy and thankful to start getting trained as team leader for coordinating and supporting the volunteers team in the cleanup activity. This provided me a chance to showcase and improve my coordination skill. This further provided me a motivation to go for this cleanup activity. I really thank the team for this opportunity. Today, it was raining in the morning. I thought the event will be cancelled. But to my surprise, the event started on time braving the weather and more than 35 volunteers showed up today. Group Hiking -Sanborn county park during misty time

Image
Saturday is a hiking day or waste cleanup day for me. Sometimes Sunday too. As usual on Saturday night I went for hiking in Sanborn county park with my office colleagues . Just a brief recall for you all. My office colleague and I started a hiking group, and we are hiking since November 2020. Thanks to my senior colleague Kamesh. He took an initiate for forming this group. Hiking group members are hiking enthusiast and wanted to hike twice a week. I admire their interest and efforts. I can able to learn team work through this activity with them . I always thought of me as not getting along with others. So this group hiking helps me to improve on that. Now coming back to today's hiking. Its been long I hiked with them. So I was wanting to hike with them this week, and as so, we decided to hike today in Sanborn county park. Two new people shown interest to hike with us, but they couldn't able to join. Glad to see this hiking group growing.  Today, it was so beautiful and magical.

Half marathon#6-Cupertino

Half marathon , a continues run for 13.1 miles, is a challenge for runners. It is pretty hard , but the achievement gives great level of confidence and happiness. It injects immense amount dopamine. Instills dogged perseverance. Ran my sixth half marathon today in Cupertino streets and park. It was the most toughest run I did. I was underprepared , didnt do any warmup or workout, didnt have my breakfast, and had an energy draining self pleasure activity. I also didn't carry water or banana. Phew. Would have died. lol.  I felt not so great at the start of the run itself, as it was so warm and I started thinking about. I should have grabbed a water to the park or atleast the packaged coconut water. Nah, I wanted to push hard and see whether I can fight it out. It was a slow start, and I was surrounded by lot of people in the park. I didnt carry a mask, so I was wary of not going closer to anyone. People were walking close to me.  Unlike my last run, I didnt feel great for most of ti
