Saturday is a hiking day or waste cleanup day for me. Sometimes Sunday too. As usual on Saturday night I went for hiking in Sanborn county park with my office colleagues . Just a brief recall for you all. My office colleague and I started a hiking group, and we are hiking since November 2020. Thanks to my senior colleague Kamesh. He took an initiate for forming this group. Hiking group members are hiking enthusiast and wanted to hike twice a week. I admire their interest and efforts. I can able to learn team work through this activity with them . I always thought of me as not getting along with others. So this group hiking helps me to improve on that. Now coming back to today's hiking. Its been long I hiked with them. So I was wanting to hike with them this week, and as so, we decided to hike today in Sanborn county park. Two new people shown interest to hike with us, but they couldn't able to join. Glad to see this hiking group growing.  Today, it was so beautiful and magical....

 Half marathon , a continues run for 13.1 miles, is a challenge for runners. It is pretty hard , but the achievement gives great level of confidence and happiness. It injects immense amount dopamine. Instills dogged perseverance. Ran my sixth half marathon today in Cupertino streets and park. It was the most toughest run I did. I was underprepared , didnt do any warmup or workout, didnt have my breakfast, and had an energy draining self pleasure activity. I also didn't carry water or banana. Phew. Would have died. lol.  I felt not so great at the start of the run itself, as it was so warm and I started thinking about. I should have grabbed a water to the park or atleast the packaged coconut water. Nah, I wanted to push hard and see whether I can fight it out. It was a slow start, and I was surrounded by lot of people in the park. I didnt carry a mask, so I was wary of not going closer to anyone.  Water is a life line. Cause there can't be lives without water. Every species in the planet depends upon the water. Fresh water is a non renewable resource. Every drop of water should be conserved . Water leak is one of the main reason for depletion of water resources. So if we see any water leak, we should work to get it fixed immediately. Cupertino has a great water leak response team.  Tons of wastes are generated in our every day lives. Most of the wastes end up either in landfill or in ocean. This poses serious threat to ecosystem including us, humans. This fact gives lots of worry. I am trying my best to live a ecofriendly life by reducing the generation of plastic wastes, reusing old stuffs and recycling the plastics. Try to share with people around me. I always used to think that there is lot more ways one can help environment. Volunteering for waste clean up activity is one such way where one can help environment.   Keep coyote creek beautiful is a waste management volunteer organization based in San Jose, who regularly conducts waste clean up activity along the creeks in San Jose.  Solo hiking gives one a much needed rejuvenation and some time for self reflection along with improvement in endurance. I started doing solo hiking from October 2018 in trails which I am very familiar about it and find it as safe. I met random hikers on the way, strike a conversation and exchange smiles along the way. Doesn't it sound refreshing? yes for sure. Can sense self motivation while walking in strenuous path. Body and mind copes up well when something in you motivates to push harder. There will be some calculative risk such as encountering wild animals, getting late for exiting or coming to safe spot, running out of water and food, and increasing chances of getting injured. It will be challenging to cope up while alone. I did may be my 4th Solo hiking in Rancho San Antonio Preserve.
